I would have actually thought of him as more than just a neighbour because we often went out to the local bar and socialised there and our wives were quite friendly too. Once we shook hands however, the problems started.

I had to spend at least an hour on the phone with my neighbour on the night he bought the car with him putting a lot of strange questions to me. From that point I realised that I had made a big mistake selling the car to this man. Some of the questions he was putting to me made it seem as though he felt I had swindled him out of money. I was a bit annoyed with this and the call ended with me telling him that he could have the money back if he brought back the car; to which he replied by slamming the phone down. I am not a car salesman and have never sold a car before but I really thought that once you had sold the car, that was it.

One of my other friends came up to me and told me that there were vicious rumours being spread about me by this neighbour. He told everyone that he could, that I had in effect sold him a piece of junk for a lot of money and had cheated him. I tackled the neighbour about it but he denied the whole thing. Since then we have not spoken to each other at all and my poor wife is being ignored by his wife. So take my advice – do not sell a used car to anyone who you consider to be a friend.

How To Remove Automotive Rust
