There are advantages and disadvantages to purchasing a vehicle at a government or police auction instead of going to a car dealership. Many people don’t realize it, but the police seize thousands vehicles every month and in most cases auction them off to the general public at greatly reduced prices.

In fact these auctions are a secret that car dealerships don’t want you to know about. An educated consumer could pose as a potential threat to at least a portion of their business.

So why does 90% of the general public buy from car dealerships? Well that’s a good question and I think it comes down to education. People are simply not aware or these government and police vehicle auctions. The government would be ridiculed is they spent money on advertising. Here is a list of advantages and disadvantages in buying at these auctions:

Advantages:

- Business model is much more conducive to lower prices

- Police auctions are held everywhere in US and Canada.

- Detailed previews on the Internet of the cars and vehicles that will be offered at upcoming auctions

- There is a large selection of vehicles that can be found at police auctions including: cars, jeeps, trucks, minivans, ATV’s and more!

- no distribution channel (car dealership) to go through or to pay

- No annoying commissioned salesperson to deal with

- Seller is motivated and doesn’t want to handle inventory, everything has to be sold!

- Better income tax advantages (run as a business)

- May pay less sales and new car tax

- Once you understand process you can do as a side business (i.e sale cars in Autotrader.com or eBay)

Disadvantages:

- You’ll probably have to pay it all in cash (which for some is a blessing)

- No warranty (although used car dealerships warranties are for short time periods)

So if you don’t mind paying cash, or have access to credit, then it’s obvious that the pros far out-weigh the cons in favour of government and police auctions. Just as with a used car dealership it is a good idea to bring someone with you who can inspect and determine the vehicles condition.

Some of the most popular video games of all time are actually racing games, in which the goals differ from game to game but the general idea is always the same, to finish the charted race course before any of the other competitors. There are many different types of games in this genre of video games, some of them being fantasy games in which completely ridiculous things happen while others are more true to life, some are even official NASCAR merchandise and feature real race car drivers. Other games include Toyota CT, Toyota in CT or CT Toyota dealers as part of the plot line or as one of the available cars. In the past there have been an incredible number of different racing games and all of them have something to bring to the table, so to speak. The following few paragraphs will cover some of the most popular, and in the opinions of many, the best racing video games ever.

One of the more popular racing games ever is the series titled Need for Speed. The series features, a large number of games which put the player in all different kinds of situations. For instance, there was one game in the series known as Need for Speed: Most Wanted in which the player would challenge other street racers on a list of the police’s most wanted, in an attempt to pass them on the list and eventually get a shot at the top man who was supposed to have stolen the main characters car at the beginning of the game. The tracks in this game range from suburban towns to more urban surroundings, each having a certain amount of traffic to dodge and their own obstacles in the way of a successful race. Another famous game in the series was about just running away from the police and causing as much destruction on the road as possible by running into things like other cars or things by the side of the road.

One of the classic racing games in the video game world is Mario Kart. Mario Kart, as one might think, features just about every imaginable character from the famous Mario series of games racing on go karts and trying to attack each other at the same time. Players can utilize anything as a weapon, ranging from green or red turtle shells to knock their opponents off the course, to banana peels to make their adversaries slip. Of course, since it is Mario, the courses in the game are unfathomable in the real world and include things like the path of a rainbow and ice caves and all sorts of things.

Lastly, and probably the most realistic racing game ever, is a series called Gran Turismo. In Gran Turismo gamers have the option of choosing from any number of excellent cars, while racing on a track at a stadium rather than on the streets like in some of the other games.

Racing video games have been, and will probably always be, amongst the most popular in the gaming business for as long as the industry is around.

The California Lemon Law states that you can request for a full refund of the purchase price of the car including the registration costs from the manufacturer. Or you could ask for a replacement vehicle of the same makes and model through a dispute resolution program conducted by a third party.

The California Lemon Law would apply to vehicles that have traveled for 12,000 miles or for 12 months after the date of purchase, if earlier. As long as the defect was noted during this warranty period, the Lemon Law would kick in. Thus the manufacturer of the car is obliged to fix the non-conformities discovered in the car.

Tents Vs Caravans At A Festival, There Can Only Be One Winner

It was five years ago, on my annual trip to Leeds Festival that I became a caravan lover. That year I didn’t have an early pass and was desperate to find a place to camp before there was no space left when the strap on my main rucksack broke. I balanced it on my tent bag and trudged on through the, now liquid, mud. Subsequently this additional weight then broke the strap on my tent bag, leaving me stranded.

Luckily some friends of mine were nearby in the caravan section and helped me carry my things to their caravan. What luxury! It was only an inexpensive caravan but compared to my one-man tent in which I couldn’t lie down straight, even without my bag, it was brilliant. How jealous I was of their luxury caravan when I opened my bag to find half of my things broken and damaged by the fall in the mud.

The next year I was naturally in one of those dry, warm caravans and happily watched the other festivalgoers struggle with their bags. Evidently my luck hadn’t improved and the caravan flooded. Again my new Top Shop inspired festival wardrobe was destroyed along with most of other caravan.

Thankfully I’d thought to check that contents were included on my caravan insurance. We didn’t have to worry about the harm to the caravan and I would even say we enjoyed living in the damp for three days. In the end, it is all part of the festival experience.

Now we have annual caravan holidays abroad, which are ideal for a low cost holiday with friends. I wouldn’t stop my caravan holidays for anything and definitely wouldn’t risk an uninsured driver hitting us and spoiling our tradition. Making The Streets Safe And Clear From Worry With Defensive Driving

Defensive driving does not mean you are sensitive about your driving skills and cry or throw your coffee cup at someone if they make a comment about your driving. Defensive driving is defined as being aware of instances on the road before they occur. It is about being aware of your surroundings and reacting to them before they happen to avoid an accident.

You won’t see people who are careless on the road practicing their defensive driving skills but if you are practicing yours you can avoid them. The need for driving defensively is at an all time high these days as more and more people are reckless on the road and do not watch out for other drivers in their rush to get where they are going. It is rude but it is a fact that it is increasing. Until everyone learns it is not all about them and shares the road we are forced to watch for these kinds of drivers.

It is defined as, “driving to save lives, time, and money, in spite of the conditions around you and the actions of others…” as stated in the Standard for Safe Practices of Motor Vehicles. What this statement basically states in the term are that you should drive to save lives no matter what the actions are of others.

If you see a person driving reckless protect yourself. Don’t challenge them. It can be frustrating but know that soon or later they will be pulled over. Hopefully this will happen before they hurt themselves or someone else. You can always call in a reckless driver on the road as well.

For the new driver a defensive driving course is included in the training a person will receive. They will learn to be precautionary with others on the road and anticipate others actions to avoid accidents. A good driving school will not only talk about defensive driving with their students but they will reinforce it what the students is actually behind the wheel.

Also example it while you drive to kids at any age so it is second nature when they learn. Use near misses on the road to explain that is why being a safe driver is important.
